My Holiday Game Listmas

I’ll be getting ready for my Christmas vacation pretty soon, which means blogging will slow down even more than it has already been this month. But I did want to get at least one Listmas post out there.

I am borrowing an idea I saw from Nerdy Bookahs – this is a list of games I’d like to try out this holiday season. While I will be with friends and family much of my vacation, there may be some down time, so here’s what I want to fill that time with (if I can ever get away from FFXIV)!

Dragon Fin Soup

I was a Kickstarter backer for Dragon Fin Soup back in April 2014, and I actually installed this game the day it went live on Steam. However, with everything else I have to play, and after hearing the game needed a little bit of tweaking out of the gates, I’ve put off playing this one.

My sister, who had no idea I backed this game or knew of its existence, picked up the game and has had nothing but great things to say about it. I consider her a more picky gamer than I am, so if she can get into it, then it’s something I need to try out. I’m looking forward to it!

It’s a Wipe

This game wasn’t on my radar until Syn mentioned seeing it sometime last year. I thought it sounded funny, so I tossed it on my Wishlist. Then Tharash gifted it to me for Sinterklaas. So, in the spirit of Sinterklaas, I want to try this game out – it really looks like it’ll be just plain old fun.

Never Alone

Never Alone is also a gift that I received, this time from Al for my birthday. I know this is a good game, and it seems like a good pick for the winter months. Plus, maybe it will give some me inspiration for working on our Nefol project. Oh, so slow. I know.

Xenoblade Chronicles X

While I have played (and still own) the original Xenogears and some of the Xenosaga games, I never played Xenoblade for the Wii. However, seeing this new Xenoblade is being touted as THE JRPG to get for the Wii U, and many of the shots I’ve seen of it’s vast open world look astounding, I did pick this game up.

Now, to find time to actually play it. 🙁

Super Smash Brothers Wii U

This was the only really amazing Black Friday gaming deal I actually managed to snag this year. It was gone in less than a minute – thank you Amazon Prime. I picked up Super Smash Bros. brand new for the Wii U for $35.

Since Smash is always better played with someone else, I’m hoping to play this when I’m on holiday at Syn’s house. I’m going to nudge her into trying it out, and since I haven’t played this yet, I hope telling her I have no idea how to play it either will coax her into it. XD

So, that’s my list. What’s yours?
