2021 Giftmas – Part 1

Every year around Christmas, my sister and brother-in-law absolutely spoil me with gifts. I love this, of course, though I try to tell them (mostly her) that she doesn’t have to do so much! Any one of these gifts would be a banger for me, honestly!

But gifting is something she enjoys, so each year, a box of presents that she’s boxed and wrapped appears at my house. Each year, I space out opening the presents over the days leading up to Christmas in order to enjoy each one and maintain excitement for the next. This year, my box came last week, so I chose to space it out by opening two a day and then three on Christmas Eve and Christmas.

Each day, I create a Giftmas post on my personal Tumblr as my way of sharing my excitement and thanks with them in return. I’ve heard that they really enjoy these unboxing posts, and I feel it’s the least I can do to give them a snapshot at my reaction since we can’t all be together to exchange gifts.

As always, Giftmas begins with the arrival of the box, which excites my cat Spriggan greatly.

And then it’s on to the unwrapping! So far, I’ve had 5 days of exciting things!

I’ve got three more days to see where this all leads to – already excited by everything I have thus far! And I haven’t even started shopping the Switch sales yet!

I'm a technical writer by day, gaming gal by night. I have a wide array of gaming interests, though I most often blog about MMOs, RPGs, and Nintendo fanstuffs. Like what you just read? Check out my Webcomic and Fantasy Fiction projects!
