Sylvan is somewhat an understated, but majestic winter-themed model that first appeared on the Breyer Website in 2025. It may feel a little early for posting winter horses as of putting this page up, but I since I was already buying a Halloween horse at the time, and it helped save on the cost of shipping, I went ahead and picked him up as well.
I usually go for more dynamic poses, but I rather like the simplicity of this one now that I have him in hand. It’s the first model I’ve collected on this mold, which being a Freedom-sized model, is good on space. I couldn’t resist the concept of weaving winter animals into the coat pattern – I do love when Breyer makes clever shape designs like this, and the silvery colorway otherwise is also a nice winter touch.
