Cora questions the artisans around town and gets various viewpoints on the situation.
There are a few facts that keep popping up:
- Artisans get their crest from the guildmaster, Rott Wardscale
- Artisans must pass a test of skill in crafting
- Things started ramping up after the attack on Crownspire
- The guildmaster appears to be giving out more crests than usual due to this
- There’s tensions between actual artisans and the fakes
There’s various theories on who is making the fake crests and why. Nothing to pinpoint a true answer, though one suggestion was for Cora to attempt to pass herself off as a new artisan and see if someone approaches her. This sounds like a good idea, but I’m not sure if this is the direction the game will go or not.
