My Traveler’s Notebook

Since I’ve been swinging back towards a more analogue way of life, I often spend time poking through videos about journaling, stationary, pens and the like. I’m late to the party, probably, but last week, I ran across a video about what’s generally called a “Traveler’s Notebook.”

Steam Gaming: Spirit City LoFi Sessions

Spirit City was one of the demos I tried out during the Steam Next Fest back in February of this year. At the time, I thought it was quite cute, with a lot of customization and atmosphere as far as focus tools go. I’ve never tried to use a digital focus tool, much less one that gamified and encouraged focus with lofi music and a cozy aesthetic.

FFXIV: A Benchmark Reborn

Every FFXIV expansion has a standalone benchmark program that you can download for PC. The practical purpose of this benchmark is to see how well your PC will run the game given new requirements and graphical updates. It usually gives a look at some of the locations, new job skills and gear, creatures you’ll battle, and it has a built-in character creator where you can get the first look at new races if they are being released.

FFXIV: More Savage Mounts – My Revenge on Alexander

After successfully making the run for the Skyslipper mount from Eden Savage, Syn and I decided to try our hands at farming the two mounts from Alexander Savage 4 and 12. Turns out that two level 90s can clear most everything in Alex unsynced without breaking a sweat.
