I didn’t pick up a lot of models from Breyerfest this year simply because they were all quite pricey, I was only given access to certain ones being an online participant, and honestly, not a lot of choices popped out at me. However, Future is Bright, being a lovely sooty palomino that gives the impression of dapples, was at the top of my list. Thankfully, I was selected for the two horses I chose as my most-wanted, and he was one of them!
I didn’t realize this was a newer mold, released just last year to the premier club, and that there was only one other model on it so far. I also didn’t realize that the roached mane was the standard variation for it because the first thing that drew me to this was the sense of motion, and the lovely mane and tail flow.
I only found out when Breyerfest started that the roached mane was a variation, and you had a 50% chance of getting either or. Had that been the only option, I wouldn’t have purchased it as, really, the flowing mane was a huge highlight to me. Seeing I only discovered this after buying it, I kept my fingers crossed that I would receive the variation I wanted, and thankfully I did!
I doubt I’ll make a conga of this mold, however, unless the full mane variation becomes more widespread. I do like a lot about this model, and the size is perfect for my shelves. So, I’ll wait and see what else comes along for it!
