When I first saw Wintergreen as a holiday web special on the Breyer website, I gave her a pass. I wasn’t big on Freedom size molds, or decorator clearware. It wasn’t until mid-2024, when I first started collecting on the Harper mold for other reasons that I gave this little mare a second look.
At this point, she wasn’t available on the Breyer site anymore, so I turned to Ebay. I ended up getting her for about the same cost as I would have originally from Breyer, so that was a win.
I also liked the hand-written tag she came with from the previous owner, so I kept it. Thought it was a nice collector’s touch.
In the end, I’m glad I picked her up. Her design grew on me, and I’m starting to enjoy the smaller Freedom sized molds and being more flexible overall with the molds I collect.
