The old missing children plot! No matter what you choose, you have to look for the kids, but depending on what you select, you either get gold and reduced virtue or more virtue.

I figured it was no fur of my my back and selected the B option. Got a virtue point - which I assume is alignment in this game. Not sure if this helps with things on down the line, but I see my character as an upholder of balance and likely a good character.
