Tsavani may not be a mage, but she knows when something has glowing runes and doesn't seem 100% safe. Her cautious nature leads her to stay away from the stone until she figures out how better to transport it - the staff ends up being the key to that. The important thing is that no one is hurt and this strange stone is out of public hands.
