Lore dump - more than a Monday should have right to. 

Basically, the idea is there's two worlds with gates between the worlds. If gates are destroyed, it would begin to unravel the worlds and send matter through gates to all the other worlds it's connected to.

So... in the introduction story, back when that one kingdom destroyed the demonic gate... this has probably caused this disturbance. That's my best guess. 

Tsavani found a Scroll of Terralonic Transference and a Sensor/Locator among all the books. So she can track and locate gates and use the scroll to travel through a gate to other worlds. Her current quest is now to take the Scroll and Locater, find the gate in this world (which is actually in the Library), and travel through. Then, she can find the pieces of the demon gate and reconstruct it to prevent the unraveling of worlds. 

Sounds like a plan!
