This was an exercise in dice rolling. Basically, you had to roll high enough to make a "success" in progress of climbing the tree 5 times. But a low roll would set you back 1 success and take a point of HP. 

I did low roll once and medium roll once, but thankfully I had a couple high rolls plus Tsavani's Athlete bonus to help her get up without taking too much damage. But I could see how a string of low rolls could get annoying here!
