Just as I suspected, this was a tough fight. 

Tsavani managed to keep the monster stunned and defeat it, but it took me using one of the special points, her drinking the Dragon Fire potion she'd been saving and her using Fierce Strike on one of the rounds. She earned 14 gold from that, and hopped through the gate to who knows where after the fight!
