Barelumber is an interesting name for a month! 

Anyhow, I had a feeling these guards were connected to the guards from the introduction, and I was right. Tsavani tried to intimidate more information out of them, but was one point shy. However, I think she's learned all she's needed to - these guards were sent from the King of the Light realm to destroy the gate with a Zenith Bomb - their idea of sealing off the gate. 

Seeing this method likely caused the issue to begin with... well...
