No choice but to take out the guards? At least I had a choice not to kill them. Instead, Tsavani had to use the banish trick, which means she sacrificed a point of life for each successful banish. Thanks to the WIZ bonus roll on this option, and her ability to meditate on the last round, she was able to send these folks home without any bloodshed. 

After all, they were just following orders.
