The king was (no surprise) not at all open to Tsavani's plea to stop destroying the gates with his bombs. He did give the run-down about why he was doing what he was doing (saying that the fact the worlds could touch and be transversed was an atrocity), but he didn't seem to care what his actions were doing to other worlds. 

Not only that, but he took the gate shards and the Watcher's staff from Tsavani before having her promptly escorted out of the throne room. 

Welp. That's about as good as I expected it to go.
