Having a malfunction is a real pain in the tail. I'd assume it's something like having a curse in a fantasy setting. Every roll that has a bonus based on a stat has to be re-rolled and I have to take the lower of the two.
There were a lot of chances to get hurt in the other decks, but my rolls were pretty good and Zarylla made it through without taking damage. She only earned one credit, but got a +1 to rolls for tomorrow.
