Getting back to the ship does seem to be the best course of action at the moment. But the trick is getting there without getting crushed.
Zarylla worked to dodge all the danger along the way: saving a child, rescuing a woman from flames, lending aid to a hurt man, dodging an out of control car. All in a day's work - if any of it will matter in just a short while anyhow.
She lost 2 HP in the middle of the chaos, but somehow earned 6 credits. Go figure.
