Oh boy, this doesn’t look good.
Zarylla had a lot of bonuses on the roll of knowledge on what this creature was, seeing she’s both an arcane adept and a student. She recognized the creature from stories of the past that named it a “Gluttanic.”
It apparently roams around and devours planets. Lovely.
Anyhow, she radios back the information to the Security Secretary and the crew earns 15 credits.
For some reason, they think it’s wise to shoot at it and see what effect it has (spoiler: none). But there seemed to be a response to the shot that slipped into its mouth – this gives a +20 bonus to aim rolls on the next page.
They try to flee, but the creature is so massive that there’s just no outrunning it. They do earn a +10 to evasion on the next page, however.
