Today was a gear puzzle, which I did not solve on the first guess because it was hard to size up the gear pictures without being able to line them up (it was all on paper). Hard to explain, but I’ve never been fond of puzzles like this in the Quest Calendar series because they tell you to make a certain number of guesses, and each wrong guess takes a hefty chunk out of your HP.
I nearly guessed right the first time by doing my best to eyeball it, so I compromised and just took the -3 HP penalty and moved on.
