Finally, the backup has arrived!
As a neat turn of events, a pilot that Zarylla rescued all the way back near the beginning of the year is part of the ranks. He radios in to say thank you for saving him, and that he’s here to help in return.
I had to go digging back through old character sheets to confirm, but yep, she saved him. That gave her a +5 to all rolls on the page, and must have brought some luck. She was able to shoot down the ships in all but one round, and the Karnack only took 2 points of damage.
Gonna need to repair soon if this keeps up, though. Maybe tomorrow.
