I mentioned that my good rolls through all the obstacles yesterday probably used up my luck, and that seems to be the way of things.
Cora’s escape has been noted and the guards – Rider and Dart – are on alert to find her and bring her back. She was able to disguise herself (with a tray and a chef’s hat…) in attempt to move past them, but in the attempt to sneak, she was caught.
Rider rushes Cora, attempting to tackle her down – wow, that’s quite a lot of force from a guard to a girl… does he have a reason to react this way? Anyhow, Cora was able to strike at him, but missed her blow (low damage roll), and Rider does successfully tackle her down.
The defense roll kept her from taking full damage, and she was able to squirm away and run off with just 1 HP down. After which, Rider shouts for her to be careful “this time”!
