Cora now has to make her way through the castle to her secret exit. She catches sight of Thatch, who does not see her, and is noticed by just about everyone on her way out. They all scold her a bit for her antics, telling her to either not get hurt again or that she’s going to get in trouble with her mother.
Cora does stop to help the servant Roo set the table, and earns 1 meal ration for it. She also helps her nursemaid finish decorating for the festival by dangling from the chandelier. Seems like Cora is kind to the lower class around the castle, and they are fond of her.
Though she reaches the secret exit, she goes a bit beyond to find her little brother, Clay, in the library. He wants to play with her pet Jem, and they cause a ruckus, books going everywhere. One book lands on Cora’s tail, and she takes 1 HP from it before she gathers up Jem and heads out.
