Once inside the castle, Merrik realizes it’s full of servants running about taking care of the festivities. He quickly disguises himself as one and is able to bamboozle his way past the patrolling guards with ease.
While the throne room is within sight, he decides to take a little detour and see what kind of treasure he can scrounge up. Merrik appears to have dusted off his previously rusty lockpicking skills (why is this an intelligence check and not a dexterity check?), slips past a set of large metal doors, but is immediately singed by a flame trap on the other side for 1 point of damage.
In the end, he does find a chamber of royal treasure, but somehow is only able to carry 5 amber out of it all. Okay. Well, that’s better than nothing.
