Merrik found some unexpected intruders (aside from him) – insects burrowing up from underground into the throne room. Turns out, he’s gone from thief to defender.
He does a good job in defeating the first two insects that charge him, but misses the third. Thankfully, he’s able to dodge the rocks that the third flings at him, taking no damage from the attack. The final insect flees in terror and Merrik salvages 6 amber from this encounter (funnily enough, he earned more from beating up insects than he did robbing the royal treasury….).
