Cora comes face to face with a giant be-crowned centipede who introduces himself as King Wraithex. That checks out.
He informs her that the insects will rise and take their rightful place under his reign, which includes tearing down her kingdom and forcing her people to kneel before him. Not the best thing to hear, for sure.
Cora decides to play it safe and try to negotiate with the bug. A good solid roll on my part, with several strong bonuses for charisma and persuasion, and she manages to get an interested response from him. But not so interested that he would waylay his inevitable plans. Persuasion is not going to work no matter how cute the mouse heir is.
