You know when you see the Treekeeper’s face so dour, it’s really bad news.
He tells Cora that the Tree of Seasons has been poisoned and is slowly losing its vitality. He wants her to keep this on a lowdown as you assist in gathering the supplies needed to complete the ritual to stop the poison and save the tree.
Cora, naturally, accepts the task without negotiation. Her whole thing is, after all, to prove herself to her mother and trying to swindle the Treekeeper is not a good look. Besides, 15 amber is probably plenty enough. Right?
