Things must be much worse with the tree that I thought.
Master Laurel doesn’t intend to save the tree – he seems sure it is dying – but rather, to capture the tree’s vitality. As he begins to weave a spell to do just that, Cora does her best to assist. She’s no spell weaver, and struggles with the task, but is able to offer some stability.
The spirit of the tree appears as wisps of energy, gathering into the sands of the hourglass. The tinctures Cora created are used during the steps of the ritual, and she is able to collect 7 total wisps. The resulting hourglass glows brilliantly.
