Today, Cora goes to stand before her mother, the queen.
Here, she’s given a recap of the situation – that they’ve done the best they could to salvage the spirit of the Tree of Seasons, but due to its loss, the weather has, and will continue to, turn treacherous. They are also investigating Wraithex, the one who brought about the tree’s demise, and see if his claim to be king of the insects is accurate.
The way forward for Cora is to seek out the owl Eldrus, who resides in the Lost Woods, and has lived longer than natural creatures do. It’s hoped that he can help provide information on how the original Forest Guardians originally brought about the Tree of Seasons that the tree might be revived again.
Sounds easy enough, right?
Anyhow, the queen then provides 20 amber by way of provisions. If Cora had taken part of spreading rumors or furthering rumors in any way, the funds would have been docked for it. They stress that this undertaking needs to remain secret, and thus far, Cora has held to that!
