Eledrus does, indeed, have information to share with Cora.
He warns that anyone who wants to reach the Guardians will have their work cut out for them. Not only that, but Cora will need to prove herself by aiding people in need along the way. This should help to earn the trust of the Guardians, but even so, it sounds like most of the Guardians would see Cora as prey more than anything else.
