Something’s up with the Hourglass, and it doesn’t look like it’s a good thing.
It started with a hum. When Cora investigates, she’s able to tell that the sands are glowing and speeding up. Something bad is about to happen, and she braces herself against it.
Even with the bonus of knowledge and Danger Sense, my roll was low enough that poor Cora takes 1 HP of damage from the surge of corrupted energy that comes from the hourglass. No one warned her about this!
Cora then works to channel the energy. Thankfully, she not only had a Brilliant Hourglass, which gave her a strong bonus, but with the new points I put in her Wisdom stat, she’s able to easily contain the curse and put an end to it. For now.
Something tells me this will be an ongoing thing. I’m glad I picked up a Cleansing Crystal for her earlier in the case she does get cursed. Being cursed is the worst.
