Cora takes a momentary breather to access the situation.
Searching through the wreckage, she finds supplies and a dagger that are worth a combined 5 amber. That makes up for the amber she lost in the wreck, at least!
She also discovers a surviving insect, which she questions intimidatingly. At first, the wounded insect refuses to tell her anything. Cora offers it a health potion, which earns her a point in virtue, and a bit more good will.
Cora asks nicer this time and the insect divulges a bit about the grudge the insects have for being ousted to live in the ash lands while the critters get a good life in the green forests. Therefore, the insect King Wraithex has set out to take down the Tree of Seasons and dethrone the queen, in order to bring war and reclaim the forest for their own.
