Cora returns to the site of the battle at the top of the spire where she finds Master Laurel.
He is studying the statue that Wraithex became, and claims there is no sign of energy or life within – something he claims the World Tree did to their enemy. He also tells Cora that the plans to revive the tree have failed, now that they’ve lost the four elements.
However, Master Laurel notes that there’s still a chance to salvage the situation if Cora were to seek out the final guardian and bring back a new World Tree seed.
Of course, Cora isn’t going to say no to this. However, upon spending time to examine the statue of Wraithex, she did sense a pulse, like a heartbeat, coming from within. Maybe it’s not dead yet?
