The forest guardian attacks!
This was a semi-tough fight, and I lost track of the number of rounds that I fought (doesn’t help that partway through, I dropped my d20 and it rolled to the backmost place behind my desk, and I had to rescue it).
My INT rolls were rubbish, but thankfully, Cora’s defense was on point to take care of incoming damage. Though it took her several turns to finally dispatch it, the turns when she did get to attack, she did big numbers. Surprisingly, she walked out of this one without taking any damage.
Once Cora does enough damage to the guardian, it runs into a new-found passage, goading Cora to follow. She does get 14 amber for this fight, which is nice!
