Cora has to make the tough choice on whether to spare Master Laurel or not.
It really sucks, and I’m sure Cora is absolutely beside herself at the one who caused the events that led to her mother’s death, and the death of so many others. However, he does provide a confession and information on what Wraithex might be doing next as well as the dangers they are now facing.
Whether this was merely to save his own hide or out of desire to make up for what he did, it’s hard to tell. Either way, Cora doesn’t think her mother would want to add blood to blood, and makes the hard choice to spare his life.
