Cora discovers a cave where some insects are holed up, standing around a table with documents scattered about. She chooses the peaceful, persuasive approach, which turns out to work quite well.
These appear to be insects who have defected, though they’ve been called to go to war. They give Cora a warning that the insect army is planning on staging an assault at Timber Landing soon – which is exactly where she’s trying to get to!
