So I may be soured on GW2 now days, but even I can’t help but log in and smile when they bring the SAB back. Hey, I may as well get that free mail carrier for my Infinite continue coin.

So patch 3.25 has revitalized the Crystal Tower raids, but not exactly the way we hoped it would. Figures if you put relic rewards in CT, you’d end up getting the worst out of people.
Wayrift – 14 Years of Webcomic Change

This past week, our ongoing webcomic, Wayrift, celebrated 14 years of being online. This is not just online time, however, but 14 years of consistent updates, 3 times a week (now in full color). Every now and then, Syn and I take a week off for vacation. But even then, she sometimes draws humor comics or I post a sketch to fill in the blank.
FFXIV: Unexpected Scholar & Reviewing March Goals

Scholar is not a class I expected to level. I’d worked on it a bit before, but wasn’t really comfortable with the healing style. I switched it to Summoner for a bit and did some FATE leveling with the job to get it to level 40.

Those of you who have been following this blog for a bit know that I’m a fan of pet breeding games, specifically horse breeding. I enjoy the idea of creating family lines, instilling skills or stats in offspring, and messing with in-game genetics.

FFXIV: Monk Level 50!

I finally accomplished my major goal for this month – reaching level 50 on Zuri’s Monk. A few people in our FC decided to get a N. Than FATE party together and we blasted through them, topping it off with a quick leveling roulette that took me to 50.

This story happened a few weeks back, before Tales from the Duty Finder was becoming a thing on this blog. So I didn’t get any screenshots, though I wish I had. Still, this one particular ninja is one I can’t forget. I think he’s earned a place in this blog series.
FFXIV: Monk Life

I reached my goal of level 55 on my Dragoon this weekend, and am still working on getting my Monk to 50 before the month is over. Last night, I hit level 46, which means I’m rocking out half a set of neon yellow Monk artifact armor at this point. I’ve mostly done Leveling Roulette mixed with a bit of FATE runs to achieve about a level each night.

I haven’t had a lot of time to put into BDO lately, thus my absence of posting about the game. I decided to change some of that this weekend and actually make some more progression to level 20, when I can finally start to tame horses (which is my major goal).

I don’t know what it is about DPS in FFXIV lately. I know I grouched about healers being rough on me, but lately, the DPS have really been dropping the ball. Ignoring mechanics, then getting nasty when things don’t go right for the party.

FFXIV: Mentor’s Helping Hand

While I may not be able to do much with the mentor system as it is – I rarely get into the Novice Network chat and I can’t do Mentor Roulette – the one nice thing I can do for new folks is provide a mentor experience boost while running content with them. This has come in handy as I assist my sister (Vix) and brother-in-law (Xaa) in their first week in game.

I’ve pretty much made it known that I have a love/hate relationship with bard. I loved it at level 50, and hate it after Heavensward changed it. But I still leveled it to 60 on Zuri because I just needed to pick something to get it done, and bard was the highest level class I had on her at the time.

Last night I unlocked the final rank of Vath beast tribe quests, earning the right to purchase the Vath mount, the Kongamato. This is the first beast tribe mount I knew I had to get immediately, mostly because the way it sounds.

April is almost here, which means the spring session of Camp NaNoWriMo is coming back around. I participated once last year (was shooting for twice, but it didn’t happen), and had a pretty good idea that I was going to write again this year.

I spent a good deal of time playing Black Desert Online this weekend, though most of it was actually AFK fishing while I was running content in FFXIV. It’s really nice to be able to “play” two games at once.

Though I spent a few more hours in BDO last night, most of it was slowly learning the sandboxy elements like gathering, processing and fishing. A lot of it was me wandering around not quite sure where I need to go for everything still.

Tonight I will get my first experience playing BDO. I didn’t play in betas on purpose. I have only watched a few videos about the game, and that’s mostly out of curiosity for things like horse taming, buying houses, tips for starting, and hiring workers.
