I had other things on my mind to blog about today, but that all went out the window. I got a SNES Classic this morning!

SWL: Jolly Cooperation (And Tinfoil Hats)

It seems like Secret World Legends has a bit of stickiness with our group, because folks are asking to continue to play it. We’re still bopping around Kingsmouth, doing quests and just figuring things out.

Is Stardew Valley Out on Nintendo Switch Yet? (Hype)

The answer is...

GW2: Path of Fire First Impressions

Posted on September 26

I know the expansion has been out since Friday and many people have already finished it, but I’m still slowly taking my time and making my way through. I actually almost didn’t want to write about it yet, because I’m afraid that ANet is going to do something to tarnish the story or the fun I’ve been having with PoF… and then I’d have to come back and reverse all the good things I’m about to say here.

SWL: New Templars in Town

Posted on September 25

I actually had quite a varied weekend of gameplay — everything from GW2‘s new expansion to 7D2D to Secret World Legends. I still have a lot to digest about GW2 Path of Fire, so I want to play that some more before I jump into my thoughts on it (so far, I’m having a fun time).

FFXIV: Tales from the Duty Finder: The RPing Xaela Tank

Posted on September 21

This Tales is more of an amusing one than one of frustration. I didn’t have anything to complain about in this particular run — the tank actually took it slowly, which was fine, compared to our July 1st tank story.

FFXIV: Tales from the Duty Finder – The July 1st Tank

I’m not sure what it is about roulettes lately, but they’ve been a constant source of blog posts. Since it’s mostly been the three of us running (Zeb, Amoon, myself), we’ve been picking up a random to fill in the blank. That’s usually a tank for Expert roulette.

Nintendo Switch: Kingdom: New Lands

Posted on September 19

Almost two years ago, I picked up the game Kingdom on Steam. I put almost 10 hours into the game, immersed for a solid weekend, which is quite a bit for me.

FFXIV: September I Need Goals Edition

Posted on September 18

I finally earned enough Creation Tomes last night to get my Omega weapon for Red Mage! That’s when I realized… I don’t have a single other piece of Creation Tome gear at all. In fact, I don’t even have a full set of Verity Tome gear yet. I’m still running with a lot of dungeon greens. Oops.

FFXIV: Tales from the Duty Finder – The Micro-Managing Healer

Posted on September 15

In a sequel to the story of the “Don’t Care” Healer… today, we have the flip side of the story where the healer cares a bit too much about what everyone else is doing… except for his own healing.

FFXIV: Magitek Predator Get!

Posted on September 14

As many times as I’ve run the Ala Mhigo dungeon, I haven’t seen the Magitek Predator mount key drop. And that’s been a lot of runs.

FFXIV: “Dad of Light” Netflix Series

Posted on September 11

Last week, I suggested to Syn that we watch the FFXIV Dad of Light series, which just came to Netflix recently. It’s a short series with only 8 episodes, a Japanese drama with subtitles. And surprisingly very enjoyable.

FFXIV: Lalafell Invasion for Hurricane Relief Outcome

Posted on September 10

Yesterday I spent several hours on the Siren server as a lalafell supporting the invasion for hurricane relief event. This started when Denmo, and several of the FFXIV community’s popular personalities, got together to raise money for a good cause.

FFXIV Event: Lalafell Invasion for Hurricane Relief

Denmo is hosting a lalafell invasion event tomorrow (Sept 9) in order to raise charity money for hurricane disaster relief. Server is unknown until announced.

FFXIV: The Things I Do for Fluff

Posted on September 6

With the Yo-kai Watch event in full swing and FATE running going on everywhere, I’ve spent most of my time playing alts in FFXIV over the weekend. I’m not sure that I’m going to get the minions on every alt I have, though I haven’t gotten tired of it yet. I’m sure FATEs will slow down after this week, though, so I’m trying to make the most of it.

Splatfest Frustrations

Posted on September 5

I’m a little behind on blogging since I have a lot of things I want to write about, but I spent most of my blogging time last week transferring my project blogs to That’s a story for another time.

FFXIV: Odder Otters!

Posted on September 5

I’ve tried and tried since Stormblood released to get my retainer to bring me back an otter. So far, no luck.

FFXIV: Scythes, Patch 4.1 Hype & Yo-kai Watch Returns!

Posted on September 3

Today was the FFXIV Anniversary 14 hour broadcast, which included a Live Letter with information about Patch 4.1. I didn’t watch any of it because a lot of it took place while I was asleep… and it’s also Splatfest, which meant I woke up and got right on to splatting this morning.
