March 2018 Gaming Goals in Review
Posted on March 31
I set out some pretty ambitious goals for March, and was surprised that I actually achieved quite a few of them this time around. I did get a little distracted by Starbound and Second Life towards the end of this month, so not everything was complete. Still, did pretty well overall!
Second Life: Riding Miss Daisy
Posted on March 27
I know I said I wouldn’t continue to flood my blog about Second Life posts, but it’s what I’ve spent the most time doing this weekend. So, it’s natural to talk about it a bit!
FFXIV: Spring Set, Weaver Upgrade, BLM 70!
Posted on March 26
Though I didn’t spend a whole lot of time in FFXIV this weekend, I did finish up a lot of small odds and ends.
FFXIV: Tales from the Duty Finder – “People who sprint in raids…”
Posted on March 23
I would like to close out this week with a lighthearted story of a MT in Labyrinth of the Ancients from an alliance roulette we ran this past weekend.
Second Life: Finding Water Horse
Posted on March 22
I talked about how amazing Bento is when used for a Second Life avatar. I didn’t realize how far Bento could reach… it’s much more than just making more life-like avatar heads.
Second Life: Bento is Pure Magic!
Posted on March 21
Though I’ve been away from Second Life for about 3-4 years, I still keep up with a number of blogs. So I knew about the whole SL Bento project going on while I was gone… I just didn’t know exactly what it meant. This turned out to be one of the most exciting parts of returning to SL.
Second Life: Returning… and Getting More Land!
Posted on March 20
Last week, Second Life announced that premium members are now allotted double land for their starting tier!
Starbound: Beach Resort Colony
Posted on March 19
I actually have a whole lot to write about from this past weekend, so it was hard to choose which topic to start this week with. I decided that Starbound won out, though, so here’s out space team’s adventure!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Posted on March 17
My FC encouraged an Irish step dance line at Pier 1 while waiting to enter Eureka today.
Steam Challenge: 50% Milestone Goal Met!
Posted on March 16
One of my goals for 2018 was to reach a milestone of having played (over) 50% of the games in my Steam backlog. This month, I’ve been nudging closer by prompting myself to try a new Steam game each week.
FFXIV: Tales from Eureka
Posted on March 14
So… Eureka.
Mario Odyssey Story Complete!
Posted on March 13
Though, at the rate I play these games, everyone else has probably already beat it before me. But hey, better late than never!
Starbound Weekend
Posted on March 12
I actually have a lot of gaming stuff I’d like to talk about from this weekend, but I’m going to start this week out posting about what I played the most — Starbound.
Nintendo Switch Excitement
Posted on March 9
Yesterday was the Nintendo Direct — which is not something I watch. But I tend to follow the news that it spawns after one ends.
Steam Challenge: Guild of Dungeoneering
Posted on March 8
One of my goals for this month is to get back to trying one new Steam game from my backlog each week. I started this month with this game – Guild of Dungeoneering. I think I picked this up in a bundle somewhere, but it looked interesting, so I gave it a try.
Sims 4: Jungle Adventure – Into the Temple
Posted on March 6
I promised in my last post about Sims 4 that I’d spend a little more time with the new Jungle Adventure game pack, especially exploring a temple.
FFXIV: Knocking Out Those Goals!
Posted on March 5
That’s Zeb and Magris, both whom glamoured their top level healing gear to look like the Level 1 racial starter gear. They are queuing up for Rabinasty in order to try and freak people out.
Happy Birthday Nintendo Switch!
Posted on March 3
One year ago today, I was rushing up to my local Best Buy to pick up my pre-order for my brand new Nintendo Switch. I was super stoked about the system’s release, and had many, many high hopes for it. A year later, I have to say that the Switch exceeded the hopes and wishes I had a year ago.
FFXIV: Glowsticks for Little Ladies’ Day
Posted on March 2
I love glowsticks in real life, so when I heard we were getting glowstick emotes for Little Ladies’ Day, color me excited! Getting the three emotes wasn’t too painful — just needed to complete a few short quests and a Fate inside of Ul’dah, which spawns pretty frequently.
MMO Guild Tool Review: Guilded
Posted on March 1
As a FFXIV Free Company leader, and someone who takes web presence and web design seriously, I’m always on the lookout for tools that can help me keep things running smoothly. Knights of Memory {KoM} is fairly free-form in allowing members to set up and run things as they see fit. In fact, it’s highly encouraged.
Gaming Goals – March 2018
Posted on March 1
I’ve gotten out of the habit of making up gaming goals for myself over the winter months, mostly because I needed more flexibility around the holidays. Now that things have settled in, I feel like I can organize my thoughts enough to set monthly goals again.
