Looking Back at 2021 Gaming Goals
Posted on December 31, 2021
It’s the last day of 2021 – where did this year go? And that means it’s time to look back at the goals I made at the start of the year to see how well I did in sticking to them!
Some Uke Resolutions for the New Year 2022
Posted on December 31, 2021
I’d like to make more specific resolutions for this year in terms of learning to play uke, but really, all I know to say is to push past the part I tend to flag on time and time again.
Nintendo Switch: Miitopia – An Absolute Delight!
Posted on December 30, 2021
Miitopia was one of those games that I had a hunch I’d enjoy, but had no idea it would tick off so many boxes for me. I’ll just say that it’s the solo-player RPG game that I’ve been needing for quite a while.
Neocities: My 2021 Website Project List
Posted on December 27, 2021
It was a little over a year ago when I first discovered Neocities, a free website host and community that hearkens back to the Old Web. Here, people who love to hand-code websites and other projects come to create – or in my case – recreate a little echo of web history on the modern net.
FFXIV: Pandaemonium Raids Complete!
Posted on December 26, 2021
I won’t talk about story in this post, but I can’t promise there won’t be mild spoilers. The Pandaemonium raids released last week, and a small group from our FC finished them up on Thursday night. I honestly didn’t expect to push through all the fights in one night, but that’s what ended up happening.
Merry Christmas!

It’s become a thing to post this song every year, so who am I to break blog tradition!
FFXIV Endwalker: Checking Off the List
Posted on December 23, 2021
With two runs of Endwalker under my belt and a third pushing through, most of my time has been spent working on various goals for different characters.
Ukulele Aerobics Book
Posted on December 21, 2021
I was just gifted one of the uke books I've had on my Amazon wishlist since last year -- the Ukulele Aerobics book. It has high ratings and seems like a good addition to a method book overall.
FFXIV: Finishing Eden Raids
Posted on December 20, 2021
I tend to be a little behind the curve when it comes to things like raids and trials in FFXIV. Unless the raid has a reward I can’t live without, or there’s story I really need to see, I simply forgo doing them until they’re no longer relevant (and easier to finish).
FFXIV: Endwalker Completed Again
Posted on December 17, 2021
Wednesday night, I finished Endwalker on Amon, making it my second time through the expansion. That’s the one downfall of having so many alts, and alts that you’d like to be in somewhat relevant content.
My Nintendo Switch Review (2021) Made Me Sad (Again)
Posted on December 15, 2021
It’s that time of year again – Nintendo sent out an email for yearly Switch stat usage. Last year, reading this made me sad. This year, I was still sad, especially since I’d made resolutions around my Switch gaming to improve how much time I spend with the system and tackling the very real backlog I’ve formed.
Star Stable Online: First Max Level Horse!
Posted on December 9, 2021
When I first wrote about Star Stable Online, some folks expressed surprise at the fact this is a MMO game with levels, quests and stats. It is, in fact!
FFXIV: Endwalker MSQ Complete (No Spoilers)
Posted on December 8, 2021
I actually finished the MSQ late afternoon on Monday, but I’ve been gathering my thoughts and digesting the experience to write about here. I’m going to pick and choose what I talk about carefully, mostly because folks are still going through the MSQ, and I don’t want to be that person while they’re enjoying their time.
Ukulele Strumming Pain
Posted on December 2, 2021
Every time I try to pick up my uke after not having played it for way too long, I have the same problem. It doesn’t take much for my fingers to blister up – mostly just the strumming finger. This makes it tough to jump back into practice because sometimes I can only play one or two songs before I have to put the uke down due to pain.
FFXIV 6.0 Patch Notes Highlights
Posted on December 2, 2021
So here we are, awaiting the drop of Endwalker. And all we have are some delicious patch notes to tide us over until tomorrow. So, let me take a look at them and talk about what I found interesting. it amet,
Return of the iPhone SE (2020)
Posted on December 1, 2021
I’ve never been the kind of person who needed the latest and greatest in phones. I will buy a phone and use it until the case falls apart and the device is no longer usable. I’m also strange in that I don’t want a large phone – I have small hands and small pockets, therefore I want something comfortable to use.
