Big HTML Blogging Update!

I am happy to announce that back on August 22, I was finally able to finish hand-coding all of the blog post pages for this site! Inspired by Blaugust to focus-down this blog, I buckled in and worked on coding for many weeks in a row.
Doing this, I was able to go from having finished only half through 2016 to finishing that year and both 2017 and 2018 blog posts. This isn’t visibly obvious to visitors just yet because I’ve yet to code the monthly archive pages and the categories for these years.
So, while all of the coding isn’t done, the bulk of the coding has been completed. I won’t say that whipping up archive pages doesn’t take time and effort – I still have work ahead of me – but most of the coding was caught up in templating each blog post, making sure links still worked, updating each image to point to a local source, and ensuring that the comment coding was pointing to the right URL.
You'll be seeing a lot of the archive pages being released - likely one every day- as I like to try to highlight the content of each month. But spoiler - all of 2017 is actually up, just not announced. And 2018 is being put up as I get months coded.
With all of that complete, I’m somewhat in the homestretch of finishing the archives of this blog. This feels really good!
