On the Fourth Day of Giftmas…

It’s actually been pretty warm weather around my house the past few days, but that’s changed as of this morning. Due to my home’s layout, my Christmas tree is right next to one of the heating/air vents. Up until today, I haven’t needed to run the heat much.
I took note that there was a particular box that was quite close to this vent, and I decided to open it just in case something inside could be affected by heat. I had good instincts, it seems.
Upon opening…

Commence tissue extraction!
Ah, there we are! Indeed, there were meltable chocolates inside – these chocolate cherries are somewhat a tradition of the family from our childhood. I’m not sure that sitting close to the heating vent would have harmed them, but I’ve placed them somewhere else now that I know what was inside.
Spoiler: I still only eat the chocolate and cream… and not the cherry. Maybe I’ll try the cherry sometime.
