Nintendo Switch Review 2023
Posted on December 14, 2023 by Aywren
It’s that time of year again when I wonder where all the time went and why I didn’t spend more of it with my favorite console, the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch Review is up, and while it wasn’t terrible, I really should have done more.
Here’s what I’ve got overall:
I dabbled in a number of games, but nowhere as long as I really should have. I tell myself this every year. Then I tell myself I’ll do better next year at giving my time to my Switch.
Again, I’m saying that for 2024, especially now since there’s rumors of a Switch 2 somewhere down the line. It would be a shame to have so many unplayed games when the next system is right around the corner – not that I’m in any rush to move on from the Switch. Heck, I even bought new joycons for it this year.
The game I played most?
Harvestella, which I had a lot of fun with. My sister gifted it to me last Christmas, and I promise I have more time into it than what this review said (a chunk of my time was from last December, which never gets factored in). I still need to beat, it however!
A look at my gameplay habits…
Seems like I’m bad at being consistent with this system. There were some months I had no time at all with it. I think that I’m going to focus on this element of it – I’d like to be more consistent picking up my Switch next year.
I’d also like to focus on finishing a few games that I feel I’m close-ish to wrapping up. This includes Miitopia, Link’s Awakening and Harvestella in particular.
I have store credit which I know I’m going to apply to purchasing an indie game or two once holiday sales ramp up, and who knows what Christmas brings? One thing I do know is that I’m not lacking in the Switch library area!
