FFXIV: Dawntrail Release Date and Preorder

During yesterday’s PAX East presentation, we got a slew of information about Dawntrail that we’ve been waiting for. Specifically, the release date, pre-order dates, and what kind of digital goodies we’ll be getting. Looks like the theme is going heavy on Final Fantasy IX – which is no surprise, but very welcome given FFIX is my second favorite game in the series.
Dawntrail Release Dates
And the release dates are:
- Early Access – for those who preorder – June 28
- Official Launch – July 2
Dawntrail Pre-order Date
You can preorder Dawntrail starting on Tuesday, March 26.
For those who pre-order, you’ll receive the following digital bonuses, along with the Early Access launch date:
- Wind-up Zidane Minion
- Azeyma’s Earrings
Dawntrail Collector’s Editions
When preordering, you can choose from the following editions:
- Standard - $39.99
- Digital Collector’s Edition - $59.99
- Collector’s Edition - $214.99
There’s also a Collector’s Box, which looks to be just the physical items, but no game or CE digital content.
For those who order either of the collector’s editions, you will receive additional digital content including:
- Ark Mount
- Wind-up Garnet Minion
- Chocobo Brush
As always, I’ll be picking up the digital collector’s edition. I mean, if I have a Zidane, I have to have a Garnet, too, right?
