Spirit City Halloween Update

Posted on October 28, 2024 by Aywren

I’ve written about the lovely productivity tool called Spirit City in the past. I’m still using it to focus on tasks, be they creative (like writing this post right now), or work related. I still can highly recommend it for helping set aside chunks of time to make progress on things you need to do, bit by bit.

One thing I’d looked forward to with Spirit City was the possibility of holiday updates. They’ve added updates for spring and back-to-school in the past – both with their own lo-fi play lists that remain even after the season has moved on. While there was nothing promised for holidays, it was a hope.

Earlier this month, that hope came true!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, so the fact that the team dropped a HUGE free update for the holiday (and for fall as well) was exactly what I hoped for, and more. There’s lots of holiday themed clothing, decorations, and even a new holiday-themed spirit to unlock! Once Halloween is over, there’s also cozy fall-themed scenes and items that can take you right on through the rest of the season.

Of course, there’s the new Halloween playlist as well, which blends just enough of a Halloween feel with relaxing, upbeat lo-fi tunes.

I mentioned in another post that I’ve had a big project I’ve been focused on for work IRL, and Spirit City has been a great tool to use to help me tackle something this large in smaller bite-sized chunks. I’ve also suggested Spirit City to several friends, and have heard this was helpful and fun for them – some going on to use it even more than I have in the long run!

I’m moving on 70 hours of use, so I think I’ve gotten quite a bit out of Spirit City. I do wonder what we’ll see for winter and the Christmas holiday. Certainly looking forward to it!
