FFXIV: How to Find an Art Party in 2025

Attending art parties in FFXIV is one of my favorite semi-social activities in the game. It’s usually a chill get together where your character hangs out in a set location, sometimes with themed glamour. If you’re an artist and feel like drawing other people’s characters, you have plenty of willing and often thankful folks standing as a model. If you’re not an artist, that’s not a big deal – come to hang out, maybe socialize (not required), and sometimes get your character drawn as a bonus!

While art parties happen within the scope of the game, they all generally have a social media and networking aspect to them. While you don’t have to take part in this, art party tags on social media are where you’ll find the art and screenshots posted. So, if you’re not taking a glance at socials, you’re missing out on half the party.

After moving away from Twitter, where much of the art party content began and thrived, I somewhat stopped attending art parties. This was because of two things:

• I didn’t know when art parties were taking place.
• Social media is a huge part of the party for me, so not participating on Twitter meant not participating. And I didn’t want anything luring me back to Twitter after I’d left.

Thankfully, the platforms for art parties are extending and changing, now beginning to ramp up on Bluesky. I’ve known of this somewhat as I’ve watched the FFXIV Bluesky community begin to grow over the past few months, and I started to see art party tags popping up.

This past weekend, I decided to take Amon to the first art party I’ve attended in a while. I had a lot of fun, met up with folks I hadn’t met before and some I’d not seen in a while, and even got a nice piece of art drawn for him.

I also looked deeper into attending more art parties in the future, and found a few resources I want to share here! I’ve learned there are some art parties that happen on a weekly or monthly basis now, and there’s a calendar of art party events that you can use even if you opt out of social media entirely!

Art Party Resources

Here’s how to find art parties to attend:

• Follow Partyingway, a social account dedicated to reposting upcoming parties: Bluesky, Twitter
• Bookmark Partyingway’s Art Party Calendar
• Follow the Bluesky feed for FFXIV art parties – this often includes tags to posts of art and photos for those attending art parties, so you may have to search to find the art party announcements

I do hope to drop into more art parties in 2025, and maybe I’ll catch you there sometime!
