Blaugust 2025 – Halfway Done!

We are officially at the halfway point for Blaugust 2025! How has your blogging been going for you?
It’s been a challenging run for me this year, I won’t lie. I have so many projects I’m currently juggling outside of Blaugust that finding time to fit in writing a few blog posts (sometimes drafting multiple in a day to create a buffer) has been the big thing. However, I’ve been so lax on my blogging over the past year that there’s a part of me that’s glad that I’m making the effort.
Yes, I know I don’t have to do 31 posts this month. But me being me, that’s never an option, and I was well aware of it going into this. I always do all or nothing unless I absolutely just can’t.
You can see all of the posts I’ve written so far this month on my August Archives page here. Some of them were pop-up topics that I didn’t expect to write about, which is totally fine.
Some of them, like my OSRS post, actually influenced what I’m doing going forward, even. I dabbled with the idea of returning to the game, but had no solid plans on it, or on picking up a membership. After writing that blog post and remembering where I’d left off last year, that was the deciding factor of going back and giving it another try.
I’m still sitting on a very long list of blogging topics, mostly because I have a very long list of games I’ve played since last year, but did not blog about yet. These are topics that I’ve kept in a “To Blog” list for many, many months, and games I need to write about before the memory of the game and my experiences there fade too much.
So, the remainder of this month is going to be a heavy focus on gaming titles that I want to cover. As a sneak peek, here’s a list of games I’m certain I want to talk about, in no specific order:
- Dungeons of Eternity
- Horse Reality
- Return to Moria
- Echoes of the Plum Groves
- Planet Crafter
- Chonkers
- Clanfolk
I have more games than that on my written list, but those are the ones I want to cover for certain. Some of these I haven’t touched in quite a while, which is part of the reason I need to blog about them. And who knows, I might be inspired to pick them back up again if I write about them, like I did OSRS!
Wherever you might be in your own blogging for this month, I wish you the best for the remaining Blaugust 2025! This week and next week are often the most challenging for me as the beginning starts with a rush and the end winds down with a rush, but the middle demands we stay the course.
