Enshrouded: Water Comes to the Shroud!

Water is finally coming to Enshrouded this fall! It’s the biome we’ve all been waiting for, and so far, based on the trailer video for Update 7, it looks just as good as expected!

There seems to be diving, swimming, and even some fishing – which you know I’m going to be right there for! I’m also excited to think of how the land will change due to the addition of water – will they add water to existing areas, or only in new areas? I’m kinda hoping we’ll see some ponds and rivers in the original areas somewhere as there are some really nice locations, and water would do a lot to add to them.

I also wonder how water elements work with building. Will we be able to dig out and fill in our own ponds? Maybe even create our own fishing ponds?

Some folks in the video comments point out that they’re seeing a great sword, too. So, there might be an additional new weapon type with this update!

Every time I turn around, Enshrouded is doing something worth playing. Because of this, I’ve even went ahead and made a new topic page for this game on this blog because I feel like I want to write more about it going forward.

I think we’ll have more than enough time to finish up the mountain biome before this patch drops in October. I really enjoyed the scenic vistas of the mountains, but not the whole frostbite survival element. It’s hard to enjoy exploring a zone when there’s a timer ticking over your head.

So, we’ll see if they go forward with something like that for new biomes. I hope not. I’d much rather just explore and enjoy, especially if there might be some nice lakes or even oceans!
