FFXIV: Level 100 and Pilgrim’s Traverse

Posted on October 8, 2025 by Aywren

Yesterday, I finished leveling my final job to level 100 in FFXIV. This earned me an achievement and the Outrunner mount, which has been a goal of mine since I first saw the mount back when Dawntrail released. It’s not only quite cute, but has several different animations that change its facial expression and your character’s expression along with it!

Though I haven’t been working on achievements as much as I would like to, I have been knocking out a few of them along the way since I last posted about it. Previously, I was 42% complete with all achievements and rank #874 on my server.

Now, I’ve finally managed to get the overall percentage to tick up to 43% complete, and I’m rank #858 on my server!

Realistically, there’s no way I’ll ever 100% achievements in this game. There are just some types of content I will never do. But it’s still a bit fun to try to finish up things that are within my reach, especially – as I noted before – since I have some low-hanging fruit that are easy to complete.

Yesterday’s FFXIV patch 7.35 brought some new content to focus on. Namely, new Allied Society Quests for crafters – though my crafters are all maxxed, I still do it for the fluff rewards – the Monster Hunter Wilds crossover (which I haven’t unlocked yet), and the new Deep Dungeon, Pilgrim’s Traverse.

Syn, Zel, and myself tried out Pilgrim’s Traverse last night and cleared up to floor 20. Thankfully, the lower levels are nowhere near as punishing as Eureka Orthos – the one-shot kill mechanics of normal monsters turned us off from running that Deep Dungeon beyond base story, even though I had wanted to go deeper into it.

It’s been nice to return to Shadowbringers zones and lore, for one. And the areas within the Deep Dungeon don’t feel so enclosed being of Fae design influenced with lovely gardens and temples. Though, the deeper we got into it, the more sin-eater traces we saw, so I don’t doubt the pretty scenery will eventually change to something darker.

The stained-glass weapon designs are quite nice, too. I got one of the new parasol drops from the accurse horde, which was quite nice!

I know that FFXIV said they wanted to focus on bringing content that will satisfy all types of players with this new Deep Dungeon. I have no interest in the higher difficulty stuff as I just want content to run about in with my FC friends. So far, the first 20 floors have been just that – casual, laid back, and fun with all the new magics and buffs you can get (I really enjoying the buff that just makes you speed run the whole floor like a boss).

Definitely looking forward to doing more of this in the future to see how far we can get!
