2025 Blog Backlog Challenge

Happy Halloween and welcome to the tail end of 2025! It’s time to kick things into gear and finish up all the things I’ve meant to do throughout this year but haven’t quite done yet. This includes something that’s been hanging over my head for this blog – my backlog.
I don’t mean a backlog of games or books or movies – though I honestly have all of that, too. I mean a backlog of writing for games I’ve played over the past few years that I want to make a post about and just never have. I actually chipped away at this backlog during Blaugust, but I didn’t get anywhere as far as I wanted to in the end.
On the flipside of things, I did finally catch up on posting my backlog of Breyer Horse Model pages. While I haven’t written about that here in the main blog, one of my goals for this year was to “Update Breyer Model List from 2024”. I completed that this week – including all of the models I’ve added during 2025, too! -- so one part of my blog backlog is done!
Now, I’m going to put it out there as a challenge to myself. I want to clear my blog backlog before the end of 2025. I know this is all very do-able if I buckle down and focus on it. It’s just getting myself into that focused writing mindset that’s been hard.
The list of the games I want to blog about includes:

- Echoes of the Plum Grove
- Tiny Aquarium
- Gas Station Simulator
- Aquarist
- Clanfolk
- The Planet Crafter
- Fireside Feelings
- Kind Words 2
Some of these games I haven’t touched in months. One or two I haven’t played in more than a year. So, before my memory of my experiences fade, my goal is to capture what it was I enjoyed about them. That way, I can move forward into 2026 by blogging about new games and ideas without all these previous games still taking up space on my to-do list.
