FFXIV: Amon’s Tea and Tomes

One of the perks of changing my main to Amon was that I could finally dedicate my small personal house to his RP business location, known as Amon’s Tea and Tomes. Previously, I’d used this space as a museum to display housing items I’ve collected since 2013 – some which are hard to come by unless you pony up money in the Mogstation now days.

Since you can only have one house per server per account, Amon has been running his little RP from out of an apartment. This isn’t terrible, but the apartments have a far smaller footprint and smaller maximum number of housing item slots. Heck, even with the 200 item slots I had with the small house, it really wasn’t enough, and I hit the limit fast.

I’ve been working on decorating Tea and Tomes, with the upstairs being the tea café – it’s styled after something like a Hard Rock Café, which has all kinds of neat memorabilia on the walls. Except, in FFXIV, these are the various holiday pictures and some of the patch artwork the game has given out over the years.

Downstairs, there’s an AllagNet Café (Internet Café) open to public use. There’s also a performance stage, aquarium eatery, vending machine straight out of Solution 9, bookcase stocked for reading, and a Triple Triad table for TCG enthusiasts.

Of course, being the holidays, Tea and Tomes is decorated for the season!

Over the past weekend, I’ve announced the opening and location of Tea and Tomes, and I’ve been happy to have a number of visitors – and meet some folks I’ve not been able to connect with in game previously.
